[WriteLog] Ports issue

Maybe someone could help me figure out what I'm doing
wrong or what's wrong...

SO2R setup with WL and W5XD keyer works fine.  I just bought
another TS-2000 so I have a matching pair of rigs for contesting.

COM1 was my old Icom serial port - I attach an RS232 from
the PC to the new rig for rig control.  The original TS-2000
uses COM2 thru the W5XD keyer.

I have no problems with CW to radio L/R....but I cannot seem
to get WL to recognize the COM1 port radio for rig control
(no frequency readout, just "kHz CW" on the little box.)
When I order it to log the frequency of QSO's on COM1,
it does nothing.

I have swapped the cables - both rigs will provide WL the
operating frequency when run thru the W5XD keyer - on
either com1 or com2 - but not straight from the PC to
the radio.

Do I need a different type of cable?  Any ideas are appreciated.
