[WriteLog] Enter Sends Exchange

As its set up here at N4GG, with Enter sends exchange/QRZ checked:
If no call in log entry window, enter sends CQ.
If call in log entry window, sends call and report
If call in log entry window and cursor has pages over to exchange, send TU
and log.

This is just TR does it. Not sure what you mean when you say: "ENTER takes
highlighted call from screen and sends exchange"

Which F keys WL selects to send in each case is set up in the .ini. I can
provide info on this if someone needs it.

Was the answer ever posted how to use the ENTER key to send the exchange?

Here is what I would like to be able to do in the upcoming CQ WPX RTTY
contest:

- ENTER sends CQ
- ENTER takes highlighted call from screen and sends exchange
- ENTER sends TU QRZ message and logs the QSO

I have the first and third parts working, am no sure about the second.

Thanks & 73 - Jim AD1C

Jim and the group,

Your desired sequence below is exactly how I had it working before I
upgraded. It was really nice.

I received one response to my request for assistance, and that was to
select the "Enter Sends Exchange/QRZ", which I've already done.

I've been playing around with the writelog.ini file in an attempt to
figure it out, but still nothing. The way I'm looking at it is whatever
makes the "Insert" key draw in the highlighted call is what must be
applied to the "Enter" key. I guess this is why it is a good practice
to save your writelog.ini file when upgrading, just for cases like this.

If anyone figures this out, please, let us know.

Regards.

Bob, N3FR

Hi, first many thanks for all the replies. In desperation I did a
re-install. Still had the same problem, then I looked at Dave's N0RQ website
and right at the bottom it said SAVE THE CONFIGURATION, I hadn't, that was
the problem. Thanks Dave I will be able to sleep tonight!
Hope see you all in the contest at the weekend.

I want to transfer WL to another pc here in my shack. It has been a long
time since I initially installed the program and need advice on the best way
to accomplish this. I have the following files and need to know if one or
more of them will do the trick. WL1042CUPG.zip WL1046Gfull_Sys2a.zip and
WlogRigsdk1025.zip. Any help will be appreciated.

Thanks,
Al

If you are not interested in the VA QSO Party, Hit Delete now...

Tried to send this to N9OB, but it rejected..

Hi Clyde,

I just checked Writelog for the VA QSO Party. the module showed Ver 1010.

The new rules allow 220 and 440 now, they do not show up on the

Band Summary window. Think you added RY as the Digital mode tracking

column.. Thanks

Below is the link to the rules page and below that is list of modes and then
next

it the list of suggested freq's.

Not too much activity on 220 anywhere (think there is some in Northern
Virginia,

but I know we made a few on 440 and lost the QSO;s as we could not log them

correctly.

Thank you so much for championing the programming of this Wlog plug-in!

When I used CT and had to export it to EXCEL and then figure out all the
multipliers

and points, it took 2 days!! This is so much better..

Mode Categories

Phone (SSB/FM), CW, Digital (RTTY/PSK) and Mixed.

Frequencies

160 meters and up, except no WARC band QSO's permitted. Suggested
frequencies:
CW--1805 KHz and 50 KHz up from band edge on others.
    PHONE --1845, 3860, 7260, 14270, 21370 and 28370 KHz.
Novice/Tech Plus--10 KHz up from the edge of the CW band and 28370 KHz
on PHONE.
    VHF -- 50.125 50.130, 144.200 (CW & SSB), 146.580 and 223.50 MHz.
    UHF--446.00 MHz.
Digital contacts should use normally accepted subbands for these modes. All
frequencies plus or minus QRM and nets.

Thanks again

Take care
