I'm afraid it's more than personal taste. The receiver in the TS-2000 
has been criticized since day one. W8JI, whom I respect highly, also 
has several bad things to say on his website.

I admit I have never owned or operated one, but in the last five 
years I have seen too many negative comments posted to let it pass.
