Mine is set for 11.025Khz 16Bit Stereo (for SO2R) which had been
recommended by several WL users.
There is no MP3 compression option in the drop down laundry list.
Curiously, does using compression add to system resources use?
In any event, a RECORDING ON or OFF indicator is needed on the screen and
the ability to designate the file chunck sizes as a user option regardless
of codec/compression/etc. due to individual computer nuances. Perhaps
standalone desktop machines aren't as "squirrelly" (especially if ya got a
7200 RPM IDE or 15,000 RPM SCSI !!! Notebook drives are slowerrrrrrrrr,
and for Contest-Pedition or Expedition purposes, most ops use notebooks. I
hope this makes sense!
