Most rigs don't have the monitor signal in the line level output on the
back of the rig.  They do that so if you use it to drive a speaker you
wont get feedback.  The monitor signal on many rigs is only available on
the earphone jacks.  Wat does come out is a little muffled trash at low
level.  To record both sides of QSOs here I had to add a tee connector
to the headphone jack and run one of those lines to the MIC input of the
computer.
