[WriteLog] Installation Problem

The CD only lists the version as 10, however I opened Writelog on another
machine and the version is listed as 10.31C. It installs fine on other
computers running XP Professional SP2 so maybe it just wont install with SP
3 for some reason. I hoped someone would suggest a Microsoft download that
would make this work, but that hasn't happened. I made 11,000 contest QSOs
using this software in March. It has worked well for me for a number of
years and it meets my current needs so I really do not wish to change
versions at this time.

John,

V10.what? How old is your CD? Starting with V10.56 in Oct. 2005 a full
install uses the .msi file and Microsoft installer. If your CD is earlier
than this it will not work with your Windows XP system. For a while after
V10.56 there were two versions of update releases; those for msi installs
and those for non-msi installs. There has now been a lot of water over the
damn since Oct. 2005 and I don't believe WL comes in two versions anymore.
So the first thing is to check the complete version number of your CD.

73,
Gary AL9A
