I think Rob is correct. Since the ARRL 160M contest is CW only, the only
mode recognized by WL for the 160M contest is CW. You probably had LSB set
on the radio when doing your "dummy" log entry.

The red "B" indicates that the QSO is "out of band." This would happen,
say, if you had the mode set to phone and the frequency at 1.805. You need
to make sure that the mode and frequency are consistent - e.g. CW and
frequencies betweent 1.800 and 1.850 or whatever.
