[WriteLog] CW pitch question...

Yes is the answer. Both rig and Writelog need to be at the same CW pitch.

If you are using RttyRite for the CW Decoder then you can set the pitch on the
tuning indicator by adding the following to the Writelog.ini file:

[Rttyrite]
CW_XMIT_FREQ=750 ---This will set the center to 750, change if you want another
pitch.

If you are going to use the other CW Decoder, then read the help instructions.

Make sure your 706 is set to the same pitch and it will always pass through the
CW filter.
I used the 350 HZ filter for RTTY and CW.

Subject: [WriteLog] CW pitch question...

Don't know if this is a question for the Writelog list or Icom 706mkIIg list, so
it's going out to both...

If the Writelog CW receiver CW pitch is at 750 Hz, should my Icom 706mkIIg CW
pitch also be set at 750 Hz also?

Sometimes I'm not sure even with the 350 Hz CW filter where a station is
listening, as well as where to tune for the best copy with the WL RittyRite CW
decoder.
