[WriteLog] need some help here..

preparing to take an older gateway to the farm,,, kind of want to play 
in the naqp this weekend.l have
wl and 850 kwd and bux com setup fsk
\ works  great on mtty , however with mtty plug in writelog when I key 
all I get is a solid tone--no diddle no nothing but solid tone...in 
misc   Im showing   com-txd(fsk) which works fineand dandy on my think 
pad via write log .
.Im sure it is something stupid and dumb, but what am I missing?? after 
3 hours of this Ive no clue
