I would go into device manager/com ports.
See what com port numbers are assigned for your USB/RS232 adaptors.
You can change the numbers from there.

I have been running two rigs (yaesu) with writelog for many years now with
no problem. Recently, after disconnecting my comport lines off the rigs to
take to Field Day I have developed a problem. When opening writelog I get a
error message stating: Com port 2 not available, system cannot find the file
specified. (the com port lines have already been reconnected) IM using usb
to serial port adapters and the rig on com4 opens ok. This same situation
happened last year and I don't remember what it took to correct. Thanks!
