[WriteLog] Upgrade - What a pickle!!

That's great - thanks! Again I am guilty of assuming it's much more complex
than it actually is.

So here's what I have now:

1 Writelog set up in 2 radio mode
2 Main receiver in the 5K to MMTTY with a clone second decoder using 2Tone
3 Second receiver in the 5K to a second MMTTY instance

So I am now successfully decoding signals separately from the main and sub
receivers - this is real progress!

The only thing I cant get to work is the frequency reading from the 2nd
receiver in the radio, I read with interest the SO2V article about the
Elecraft, that suggests that you can set two entries in the ports tab both
using the same COM port - as soon as I try that I get a message saying that
I have the same com port too many times.

I have the two receivers with frequency via CAT working fine in Logger32, so
I am sure it must be possible in Writelog - but I am not sure I am clever
enough to understand the real details.

Ed, I note you mention "I don't believe there is SO2V capability in the
Yaesu/FT5K rig driver in WriteLog", but I am not sure I understand exactly
what the "rig driver" is as far as Writelog is concerned.

Thanks for the pointers so far... nearly there!

Mark.

Don is updating his tutorial on WriteLog and XMMT on www.rttycontesting.com
with instruction on setting up Clone receive-only windows. Meanwhile, it is
pretty straightforward once you have your first Rttyrite window set up with
either MMTTY or 2Tone. On the Rttyrite File menu, select "Clone (Receive
only)" and a second Rttyrite window will open. Set it up as you did the
first window, choosing the decoder you want to use, perhaps different than
the one used in the first Rttyrite window.

If the audio from the FT5K to the PC soundcard is stereo with main receiver
and sub-receiver on different channels, then you can set up a Clone Rttyrite
window looking at the sub-receiver audio channel instead of the main
receiver audio channel. However, you will have to swap VFOs in order to
work stations on the sub-receiver because I don't believe there is SO2V
capability in the Yaesu/FT5K rig driver in WriteLog.
