[WriteLog] WL registration key

My PC has to go into the shop for a check out of the hard drive that has begun giving me problems.  Should it turn out I need to replace this machine and install WL I on a new one I would like to have a backup copy of my current registration key.  I have found one at C:\Windows\wlogkey.ini, but it is an out of date key dating from 2011.  I know the current key is in the reg file somewhere, but have no idea how to find it there.  Is the current key in a wlogkey.ini file somewhere else on the machine where I can back it up to a thumb drive?  My OS is Vista Home Premium if that helps.
