Glad you found it, then also...
Yes, it's in the register. At least on my Win7/64 bit machine, so should be
in Vista also.
Found mine in;
Key:[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE]\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\W5XD\wlogkey\CONFIGURATION ===
"Registration_V10" = "your registration nr"

Just go to Start, Regedit, and you should find it ok.

Thanks to all who have replied.  I just checked my WriteLog folder in my
desk and found the email paper copy with the registration key I was emailed
for V11.04.  I guess WL doesn't put out a data file anymore.  Anyway, the
good news is I found the key.  The bad news is it dates from April 2012!
Looks like I'll be getting a new key soon!

    My PC has to go into the shop for a check out of the hard drive that has
begun giving me problems.  Should it turn out I need to replace this machine
and install WL I on a new one I would like to have a backup copy of my
current registration key.  I have found one at C:\Windows\wlogkey.ini, but
it is an out of date key dating from 2011.  I know the current key is in the
reg file somewhere, but have no idea how to find it there.  Is the current
key in a wlogkey.ini file somewhere else on the machine where I can back it
up to a thumb drive?  My OS is Vista Home Premium if that helps.
