[WriteLog] How do you do that then?

Hi All

Reasonably new to the world of RTTY contesting and especially WriteLog.
Using the V10 Rookie license here with modest success - I have a few
questions which I would be grateful for pointers over:

How do people calculate their claimed scores for contests that I see on the
3830 reflector? The XE contest just done I would need a QSO count (easy) by
band (not so easy) then a DXCC entity count (excluding XE) plus a count of
XE states to generate my multiplier. Is there some kind of easy log analyser
or another method people use for this? I have created my Cabrillo log (looks
very much like XML to me!) using the ADIF2CABR but haven't included a
claimed score as I have no idea how to calculate it. Will my log be OK for
submission without a claimed score?

I am also curious why some of the supported contests don't include the
Cabrillo export option despite that being a requirement for electronic log
submission. With my software engineers hat on, how do you learn the
interfaces for writing WriteLog modules/contest support? Is there anything
published on this topic?

Lastly, should I now be purchasing the latest version of Writelog now I have
used my rookie variant in a few contests? What's to be gained in the latest
version?

Thanks

Mark.
