[WriteLog] RTTY PTT Delay

I'm playing around in the Ten Meter RTTY contest.

I'm running mtty (XMMT).

For some reason there is a long delay after sending an F-key message 
(the message includes the %E at the end), like 1 to 2 seconds.

If I switch my rig over to CW and send a message there is no delay.

What settings do I need to check?
