[WriteLog] Newbie Question?

I use a WinKeyer USB and have never had any problems with WriteLog.  I did
have a problem with it locking up on Ham Radio Deluxe, but they seem to have
fixed that problem.  

Make sure you follow the port set-up instructions on the K1EL web-site or
the CD that comes with the kit.

New to contesting, but I am considering getting a WinKeyerUSB-smt and the
Writelog v. 10.90 (Newbie Special), which has been recommended to me for CW
contesting.  However, I have read in some posts in K1el Group that there are
problems with using them together.  Can anyone share their wisdom on this
subject.  I tried to look at the manual but could not get any guidance...or
I did not see it.  Thanks.
