[WriteLog] Networking issue

I expect you know this already, but just in case ...

When I adhere to the following process for networking in WriteLog, I've
never had any networking issues.  When I have deviated from it, there are
often problems, similar to what you describe.

1.  Designate one of the PCs as the "Master".  This is only a name to ID
that specific PC, nothing else.  It can be any one of the three PCs.

2.  Register each PC to the network (Tools/Register to accept network
connections).

3.  On each of the non-Master PCs, link them to the Master PC (Tools/Link to
Network).  Do not link the Master PC explicitly.  It becomes linked to the
others by virtue the other PCs linking to it.

That's it.  If you link the PCs any other way, it is likely you will have
networking problems, including common Telnet access, among others.

Helpmsg 2105".  If I type the help message it says "A network resource
shortage occurred."

 

When I do network Gab, the XP machine can send and receive messages from the
other two.  The other two machines cannot see gab messages from each other.

 

I am assuming this is some type of security/firewall problem, but the
messages above would indicate otherwise.  I also opened the firewall for
Writelog, but it made no difference.

 

Any advice would be helpful.  Thank you
