A second Packet Spots window is an excellent idea.
Wayne, this is a formal request.
One Packet Spots window could be set for something like Follow Me and the other could be set for All Bands. It would take up less room than 5 bandmaps.

We had one operator several years back who liked to set up bandmaps for all the bands on a second monitor.  After he moved on no one else had any interest in setting them up.  If you have the space to set up a second monitor then you can see at a glance what activity there is on all the bands and perhaps find a band opening that you otherwise might miss.
 
In my experience I never glanced at the second monitor often enough that it influenced a band-change decision.  My personal preference would be to set up a second Packet Spots window, if that were possible, that showed either a different band or Mults-only on all bands.  I've done this in the past by running Writelog on a second computer with no attached radio, just showing the Packet Spots window with different settings to see what's happening on other bands.
 
The Fixed Bandmap feature was also used to create several bandmaps for multiple segments of a single band so that all of the activity on that band could be seen at once.  Again, I prefer the Packet Spots window for this purpose.  If it's necessary to retune an exciter, amp or tuner to move between different parts of the band then the bandmaps may be a better tool for guiding click-and-pounce.
