I'm also using V12 and ran the ARRL DX CW contest, but using the module for 
DX stations, not US/VE.  I had no problem creating the Cabrillo.  Where are 
you saving your WL contest log?  The Cabrillo should be going to the same 
location.  You can check where that is by looking in your writelog.ini file 
for the DataFiles= statement in the [Configuration] section.

If you don't have a recent ini file to check V12 can export the writelog.ini 
file from the registry by clicking on the Export button and then look into 
to it to see what's there.
