[WriteLog] Vertical bandmap in WL12?

Hello,

a good ham friend is new to Writelog - he installed the latest WL12 just
today.
Now he is puzzled because the bandmap comes up horizontally stretching
across the entire screen. He would like to have a vertical bandmap but has
not been able to find a way to change it from horizontal to vertical. I am
not much help to him as I'm still with WL11 and haven't made installation
exercises since many years. 
Can someone please tell us how to bring the WL12 bandmap into a vertical
position?
The WL12 help/documentation does not address this.
