[WriteLog] Extra Characters

I noticed, on many occasions that an "extra" character would precede my
messages. No consistency to the characters, nor which message was sent. I'm
not sure if they only appear on my screen, or are transmitted? Curious if
anyone else has experienced this, and if anyone, that I worked today in
VOLTA RTTY, noticed the "extra" character?
