[WriteLog] FT8 QSOs and Writelog

Hi Jamie. From my experience, not all ADIF files are the same. WriteLog has its own ADIF and the ADIF you are importing from WSJT-X, it's my guess, is probably not want WriteLog wants to see.

You could have used the new WriteLog "UDP Listener". It's a plug-in program that allows contacts from WSJT-X to be logged directly into WriteLog. I used it in the FT8 Roundup last month and it worked well. It's not going to help you now, but it's available on WriteLog downloads page.

I don't know that it was well advertised and I didn't write a tutorial on it as I probably should have. I don't know how you can figure out your score other than possible entering those 100 contacts manually into WriteLog.

Sorry..

Subject: [WriteLog] FT8 QSOs and Writelog

I have seen lots of traffic in recent months on this reflector about how many of you have integrated WSJT-X and WL. I have not done any of that. This weekend, I made over 100 FT8 QSO's in the ARRL RTTY RU. I was able to produce a Cabrillo file from the WSJT-X program, but I wanted to see what my score was, etc.
But when I tried to import the WSJT-X adif file into an ARRL RTTY RU log in Writelog, I got several errors:
1) Every QSO was marked "B" like it didn't count.
2) The only exchange info that made the jump from WSJT-X to WL was the signal report (529, 549, etc). 3) The state/province/DX serial number part of the exchange did not come through after importing the adif file. (I checked, and the data is in the adif file)
This is not meant as a complaint to the WL developers. Maybe I'm doing something wrong, and I could be pointed in the right direction, or maybe the WSJT-X adif creation process is the culprit.
