You are looking in the correct place for the kit:
https://github.com/w5xd/WriteLogRunMode/tree/master/DownloadInstaller

And you see there that V.2.8 is the latest build.

The readme does show comments on a version 2.9 and if you build from the
github source you can build that version. But version 2.9 is not built
for public download yet.
