[WriteLog] Writelog Crash

I had version 12.44 loaded on my Surface Tablet, everything had been
working for the better part of a week. Today I was setting up a few windows
for CQWW SSB. Then I went into the ini file to make sure "autosave" was
configured. It was, so I didn't make any changes to the file. Somewhere
along the line something happened as I've been unable to run the program
since that. I get to the box with previous logs and Settings (Edit,
Export, Import, Help). After clicking on any log or trying to start a new
one, I get the spinning wheel but then it just stops. Nothing happens.

I uninstalled the program a couple of times, deleted every Writelog file or
folder I could find, hoping to do a fresh install. Same thing. For the heck
of it I uninstalled 12.44 and installed 12.52 registered to ET3AA (which I
purchased). Same thing. I'm stumped!

It appears there is an ini file somewhere or something in a registry that
is not being deleted or maybe corrupted, because there are old logs
showing in Recently Used window and, I get error messages about COM ports
(5, 6, 12) not being available, which had been configured while the program
was working. I'm getting the message because I unplugged the USB to serial
converters. But the program is looking for them unlike a clean new install
where you would start from scratch.

This stuff isn't my forte. I've spent an afternoon trying to dig out from
this hole to no avail. And things were going so well. Any help would be
appreciated.
