Problem solved.  I have two monitors in extended mode (the two monitors make one big one).  When I switched to the second monitor duplicating the first, the window showed up. Then I was able to save and change back to extended mode.  I assume whatever was holding the position of the window got wacked for coordinates and changing the overall resolution forced it back into the visible range.

Windows...  it's always something.

I can't find any small window K6TD suggested.  And loading an old ini file didn't fix it.  Reinstalling the latest update did not do it.  Next step is to go back to a full install.

How can a window get lost?!

 If you have ever previously saved your INI settings to file, you can load a previous INI file. I checked and don't see the band summary window coordinates in the INI file so if the window mysteriously got pushed off the screen, one way I know of would be to change the resolution of your screen to see if you can find it.
Something else to consider is that occasionally when the bandmap goes blank after a Windows 10 update, you have to re-install your WriteLog latest update. You can try that. It won't hurt anything.
