[WriteLog] IC-9700 Connection via USB Times out in about 10 seconds

the latest versions of Writelog do use ini files. To access them, you
select import/export from the opening window that pops up when you start
Writelog.

On FT8, if you use WSJT-X, you can use the WritelogADIlistener app to
log contacts. Or a better was is to use DigiRite from within Writelog.
That way it's fully integrated and knows mults/dupes because it's using
the Writelog log file.

On my 9700, I use the USB connection for the audio codec and have a USB
to CI-V cable plugged in to Remote for CAT. Rock Solid.

There is so much FT8 activity on VHF now, to contest and not be able to work/log FT8 contacts is nearly as bad as not operating at all. I may have to consider other contest logging options.
