I am not familiar with Digirite - have never looked at it.

There are no menu settings in DXP that affect the sound card.

*ANY* sound card software should be configured to use "Line (DXP)"
- Left channel for transmit and DXP RX (DXP) - left channel for
receive (on the main receiver). If you have a dual receiver rig
and the software supports dual receive, the second receive channel
should be configured for the rig's second/sub RX as DXP RX (DXP)
- *right* channel.

Receive audio level should be adjusted *separately* with the encoder
for the main (left) and sub (right) channels. "DXP RX" has *NO*
Windows mixer component so receive level does not respond to any
"slider" in the application or Windows driver/Sound Control Panel.

Again, there is no sound card menu choice in DXP. The error message
you quote would almost certainly indicate a configuration error in
WriteLog/Digirite or that you have disabled application access to the
"microphone" (any audio input) in Windows -> Privacy & Security ->
Microphone.

I *DO NOT HAVE* the current version of Writelog *and* have never
built/installed Digirite. I can not help you there.
