Wow!  I've never noticed this and I've worked the B1 prefix at least a few times with WriteLog.  I'm not disagreeing, just surprised. I've also never noticed it in all the log checking I've done.  Is that because B1 is in the cty.dat used in log checking?  So, this only affects the WL user during the contest and not their Raw or Final Scores from the log check software. 73,Ed W0YK

I havenever worked one from my modest station here in Colorado, so I nevernoticed the problem myself.  I'm surprised that no one else has everreported the problem before. The software that writes the country files for WF1B and WriteLog hassome special tests to avoid writing certain duplicate (unnecessary)prefixes to the country file.  WF1B handled B1 (BY1) correctly, butWriteLog did not.  The fix was to copy the correct test condition fromthe WF1B section of the code to the WriteLog section of the code, andB1 now shows up in the country file:<     3U3,3U4,3U5,3U6,3U7,3U8,3U9,B0,B2,B3,B4,B5,B6,B7,B8,B9,BA,BA0,BA2,BA3,BA4,<     BZ9,XS,XS0,XS2,XS3,XS4,XS5,XS6,XS7,XS8,XS9,=BA4DL/0(23);---<     3U3,3U4,3U5,3U6,3U7,3U8,3U9,B0,B2,B3,B4,B5,B6,B7,B8,B9,BA,BA0,BA2,BA3,BA4,>     BZ9,XS,XS0,XS2,XS3,XS4,XS5,XS6,XS7,XS8,XS9,B1,=BA4DL/0(23);I won't explain why it's listed after XS9 instead of before B2, that'sa much longer discussion. This fix will be in the next country file release, certainly beforethe ARRL 10m contest.I apologize to anyone affected by this problem.73 - Jim AD1C-- Jim Reisert AD1C, <jjreisert at alum.mit.edu>, https://ad1c.us_______________________________________________WriteLog mailing listWriteLog at contesting.comhttp://lists.contesting.com/mailman/listinfo/writelogWriteLog on the web:  http://www.writelog.com/
