Same thing has been happening to me recently. Possibly from a Winderz 11
update.
What happens is that I use my PC headphones to listen to something
(YouTube, movie, whatever). Then it no longer works with DR.

I open Sound Settings. From there I see that "Choose where to play sound"
is set for "Headphones". Change it to your DR soundcard device. In my case
that's the K4 (USB Audio Codec). Unfortunately it sticks and I have to do
the same thing to get sound back to the headphones later on.  Windows used
to be smarter than this, but so it goes.....
