[WriteLog] common fix for installation issues with 12.88 (and later)

Many of you already figured this out, but, for the record, here is 
something you may need to know. If you have issues with WriteLog 
crashing or otherwise misbehaving in new ways after an upgrade to 
version 12.88, please try this before filling a support request:

Download and install this update to the Microsoft Visual C++ libraries:

     https://aka.ms/vs/17/release/vc_redist.x86.exe

The WriteLog installer 12.88 is quite apparently failing to update those 
libraries at least on some systems and for reasons we haven't figured 
out yet.
