Sri to break in but I thought I would try to help with setups and show
what my setup is like.  The Flex 6000 and 8000 series appear to set up
the same and it is just what version of writelog you have is what you
will see on setup. Before you start make sure SmartSDR is running

First I went to Setup and then Writelog options.  Select Rig Type as
Flex-6000/8000 as shown, then select the radios name, or if you only
have one radio it might come up automatically.
I think I left everything else the same but you see how mine is set up.
There is a screen on the internet that I used but forgot where is was,
and uses and older version of Writelog, but it gives you the idea.

Second go to SmartSDR CAT and create a com port, or use one, like I did
that I won't be using when Writelog is running.  Then go into Rittyrite
and select that same com port you created in the CAT program.  Now
select Sound Board AFSK in the TU type, if I'm right it should be
working well.

I don't do SO2R/SO2V so I can't tell any more on how that part is
setup.  I' lucky to use just one radio!

I hope this works and helps you set up your radio, and hope to see you
all in the log
