(see posting, below). Someone suggested using FKEYS. I researched this and also contacted the author (Keith). He agrees that FKEYS s/w must use the mouse. That is not what I want to do. Keith also suggested: "Another alternative is Macro Express (http://www.macros.com/). It doesn't know about Writelog, but is a very powerful keyboard shortcuts tool that can be set up to change a single keystroke into several." I haven't been to Macro Express, yet. To clarify, here is what want to do: keep my hands on the keyboard and not have to be mousing around. The objective is a SINGLE KEYSTROKE that would Log the contact AND also put the spot out to the spotting net (I am telnet connected). I would see this feature as something that many ops might want. It would also have to be toggled on/off as needed without a reboot of WL. Jerry/k6iii San Jose, CA ========================================================= I am trying to figure how to EASILY makes spots in WriteLog. (I am telnet connected to N7TR or K6LLK). Yes, I know about CTRL-T, but that is a bit clumsy. So I am going to set it up to remap CTRL-T to a single key. That will be less clumsy keystroking, but still it requires a 2nd keystroke (ENTER) to get the spot posted. (As has been suggested on the NCCC Reflector, I am not expecting to post the QTH of each spot - that has slowed me down a lot in my Hunt-n-Pounce operations, anyway.) Is there a way I can avoid having to strike the ENTER key to get the spot posted? Perhaps there is a better way to post a spot using WL; perhaps a Function Key? How to set that up?
