Hello WWYContesters,

First of all I`m the newest member of WWYC so I wanna say HELLO
to everybody in this contests group !!!!
I`m Csaba HA3LN/HG3G a 22 years old crazy contester from Hungary!
I "love" contesting, mostly on CW but there`s no problem with
SSB also. I`ve got a big problem with my station: I`ve no serious
antenna farm like You (WWYContesters), what I read in the mail
reflector. It takes for a long time to setup a powerful ant-farm
to the contests. At present I`ve a very old (but pretty much good)
TX/RX : FT-250. It has around 100W out for 80-10m. He`s older
than me :) , but I`ve heard every DX what there was in the bands
with my old campaigner radio. I`ve abt 140-150 DXCC (95 in qsl).
I did them with my first homebrew ant : W3DZZ. It work(ed) very
nice, but I want a more louder one! Now I use a 3B vert for
20/15/10m, It`s work lots better like W3DZZ. Its SWR is 1:1.4 so
I`ve to tune it perfectly. For 40m I`ve no ant yet, but there`re
some good ideas. 80m was my strongest band. I`ve a full size
pyramid ant but unfortunately a summer storm tore it completely,
in this way that`s on the ground :(( . I made a passing fair score
with it (below). I`ve (had) a homebrew PA, but in IOTA`99 the line
power transformer burnt out :(( , I`m just waiting for the new one.
I`m interesting in VHF contesting also but not so much like HF.
I`ve got a 15m 26cm high tower, abt 30m space from my room-window,
and four severally 12m long masts, unfortunetly they lies on the
ground. So I`ve to apply some guns onto them.

About my contest results: (yet)
-------------------------------

I`m proud of IARU`99. world #4 with HG3DX in the HQ category.
It was an experience to work with hungarian bigguns.
Congrats to Andy LY2BTA & LU9AY for their outstadning score!!!!!
IARU`98 world #6 with HG5NHQ also in HQ.
WPX`97 CW SOSBLP 40m world #9 with HA3LN

HADX`97 SOSB 25W 40m #1
HADX`98 SOSB 25W 40m #1
HADX`99 SOSB 25W 40m #1

...and there`re some contest whereof I`ve no offical result:
WPX`99 CW SOSBHP 80m HA #1 with HG3G (claimed world #7)
and the ominous IOTA`99 CW SOAB 12HOURS with HG3G I`ll be in the
middle in the populous field.

About my dreams:
----------------

Be a good, effective Young contester.
I am with Hrle there: The queen of the dx/contest antennas is
the QUAD !!! (also like KT34XA). I`d like to build a 4el mono
for 20/15/10m onto the same frame. But AGAIN THE PROBLEMS!!!!
What kind of material can I build it to proof against the wind/
snow/warm/etc. Hrle !!! At 9A7P stn, what materials did You use
for the frame???? How did You warp the frame problem up????

About my civil life:
--------------------

I`m live in Nagyberény 25Km from Siofok nearby Lake Balaton,
the biggest lake in Mid-Eu. Nagyberény is a small village with
only 800 people. Not a too big problem aspect of the ham radio!!
I`m study in a technician university (Kando K.) in Budapest.
This is my 2nd semester of 6, it`s really harder as the first
was!!! If everything will be OK then I`ll be electrican engineer.
This destroys my every freetime!!!!
I`ve a wonderful bride almost for 2 years!!!! She is the greatest
preoccupation for my contest operation time !!!!! :) On the other
hand she is really good women for my future ham-wife, and I`m
trying for to infect her with the ham contesting !!!! :))
I`m the president of regional amateur association in Siofok,
and member of Hungarian Amateur Radio Association (MRASZ).

As soon as possible I`ll put up some pictures about me!!!!

I think it`s enough for the debut!!!! (maybe too much :) )

I`m glad to be a member of WWYC and I hope we`ll well meaning
rival between us!!!!

                               73&DX! Csaba HA3LN/HG3G
