[WWYC] WPX CW 2000

It was FUN !!!

First of all VY SRI for late, but I had 2 big exam in last two weeks....

Then about the contest:

The MOTTO was: "... Still have no PA !!!"

At the start /first 2-3 hours/ was very good activity. There was a lot of stateside & 
some european with BIG signal. This was the point when I said: "Where's my amp ???"
Of course I couldn't hold my QRG....! I have a 150Hz filter, but it could not help for
me. I had to go S&P! Otherwise it was not too bad because every DX came back to first 
call and I could make a pretty good 35-45 Qso/hours rate. 
After 4 hours could I make the first run at the end of the CW segment around 14.060 KHz.
This was very nice, many W9, W0, W7, W6 (+east coast) stns came back to my weak CQ.
My rates was fairly good, around 45-50/hours. In this nice W's work I was not tired!!!!
But came my sun-rise and the rate fell down around to 20-30/hrs.... After this came a 
calm period in the morning, early afternoon!! The stns were coming just coming when I
tried to go QRT.... So I could not to make pause. This was my big mistake because I was 
QRT at the start of the JA-opening. The bigger reason was that I had only 2 hours for 
sleeping before whole evening, night and next dawn. It was hard to keep alive myself!!!
After when I was back onto the air the JA window was amazing. What a loud singnals form 
JA, I've never heard same like JH4UYB or JH3AUI etc... Around 21.00z came up the W's 
again. From that area was also very loud: W4MYA, WK6LE, KQ2M, KC1F.... 
This night was the same like the first! I had no CQ freq, there's a lot of S&P!!!
My rates were poor only 25-30/hours, It took concentration to find new DX-stn.......
I don't no why. I felt the second night was weaker (especially to USA) then first was.
Remarkable th JA-opening of second evening with mean propagation.
At 23.30, after 37 hours operation & 7.5 hours of pause I could not continue the 
contesting....  I was too tired!

I felt many times that I missed a lot of EU & DX stns especially to JA.
The PA is necessary for the serious and effective contesting!!!!

			I think OZ1AA is better in CW & it is also mult in WPX!
