Hello WWYC

I'm sorry that I have not been QRV on the list since CQWW, but I have some
excuses...

Well, CQWW was quite a disaster from this site: In the beginning I had very
big problems to be heard on the low bands (100 watts and dipoles) but at the
higher bands it worked much better. At 1100Z I was looking very much forward
for the NA opening on 15 and 10, but then suddenly a heard a smaller
explosion sound and a light came out of the computer, it also started to
smell a bit strange in the shack - the computer was totally DEAD :-( Of
course I hadn't saved the log on a disk, and I figured out that it wouldn't
be fun to continue without the log. Perhaps if I had been HP and could have
called CQ all day, but I was LP and had to S&P. Final result is below, and I
can only say that I feel very sorry for the team :-(

Actually my computer have been dead ever since WW SSB, but today I finally
managed to get another computer to work and move the hard disk. Downloaded
500+ messages, and nice to see many great scores from the different
WWYC-members among! I tried to record a contest for the first time, and it
seems to have worked quite well. Always nice to hear some of the QSO's
again, and if some of you want to hear your signal in OZ, just write me and
I'll send you an mp3-file.

Also, we should start thinking about CQWW CW which is not that far away. I'm
not sure about where I'm going to be yet, but I will be QRV from somewhere
for sure! What about your plans?

CUL,

Vy 73 de Thomas, OZ1AA
