Hey guys, this weekend Patrick and I decided to go for portable.
It's been a while since our last 6m contest so we decided this
will be a nice chance for it plus a chance for barbecue.
Total qsos worked: 35+21+12 = 68 (woooooow)
We spent most of the time on 6m (I really felt like a beacon :)).
First day we had total of 15 q's with ODX qso and few more DXs.
We had opening on indian ocean and south africa but that was
quite poor as we expected lot more ZSs in our log. On the
end of the number 1 day even WX showed us it's back and stopped us
working - short strong strom passed trough our QTH.
Next day we had plan to be active from early morning. I was already
at 9A7P club at 7:50am (loc) where i've made few ARI q's.
At 8 am instead of going to our portable location we went for a coffee as
both of us have had eyes hardly open so we came on air quite late.
WX was more like sunny and that was good for our barbecue plan and
Q's went on very well (compared to 1st day:)) and we've made about
20 q's in next 2-3 hours.. hehe. We hoped for more OZ/SMs to come
but better few then nothing. Last 2:30h 0 qsos. Luckly at that time
few more members came in for barbecue and we had nice fun till the
late afternoon (and then again rain :()
On 2m we just gave points in wish to get few DXs but we were too weak
for DXs. We heard few OK/OM/HA/OEs but nobody could hear us. My biggest
sorrow was caused by not working HA7P :-)
After all it was still very interesting weekend, and we do hope for
repeating that one again very soon (when 6m gets in real mood) but
also we're on for real 2m fun. This time we had no time for installing
2m setup but Amp and ants are ready for action.

Soon is WPX CW so I expect to see plans, hints and tricks for that contest
on this list.
Anyone wants to share their tactics? off-times? band switching?
My plan for WPX CW is to get myself real tribander (so far AS33 is the one)
as 2el. quad we have here is not a real tribander (it has 3 feed lines)
and I'm now quite sure about being in SOAB/TS/LP category with 9A6XX
callsign (quite rare 9A6 mult - at least it was in SSB part).
This weekend there's also CQ-Mir contest. Activity in this contest
is really good (I believe something between ARI and RDXC).
