Hi there...
It´s quite a while since I´m back home from Sudan but I simply forgot to drop a short posting
here on the refelctor.
I just wanted to thank all of you who gave us a call especially during the WPX test. Unfortunately
I still don´t know the claimed score for our M/2 effort as we logged with two separate computers
and the logs had ti be merged afterwards.
contest was great but piles often where just too huge to get the "100 rate" up to 200.20m piles
saturday night let me get at the limits of my operating skills as JA, NA and EU where wide open
at the same time and due to the moderate performance of our antennas on 20 it was tough work to
hold control on the pile. I even had to work by numbers for some time something I simply hate to
do...
10m yielded the best rates - as always - but it seemed afterwards that we left that band too early.
on 40m we just used the butternut vertical and according to that the main work was done on the
high bands. the fact is that the whole DXpedition setup was not aimed at contesting with about
8900 Qs we were quite satisfied with the result. eventually it seems that only a few station
entered the M/2 category. Somebody told me that P3A did but I´m not sure.

I hope to be at freidrichshafen ham-fair in june. Would be nice to meet some of there.
Now I have to get my stuff together as vhf/uhf contesting is scheduled this weekend.

Unfortunately I haven´t had the time to join the cw eu-sprint which realy was a pity...
I was eager to get back on the track after a quite dissapointing try in the ssb leg.

cu guys
gl.
