Hi all,
here again to report the activity last week end, on CQ WW/RJ RTTY test. I
worked as SOSB 20M LP, and activity has been fine. Starting Saturday on
early morning, the band has been full until late evening, with overall good
conditions. Eastern Europe was pretty good and also Russians were loud as
usual. Not too much Scandinavians, specially on the afternoon, but SAC SSB
has done the work in that way. Good signals also from UK, where RTTY seems
to be more than tradition.
About Sunday, I must say that the national black-out happened during the
night between Saturday and Sunday cut me off up to nine o' clock in the
morning; here in Northern Italy we've been quite lucky; in most provinces of
Southern Italy the power shortage lasted until late evening, and I think
that many stations were completely out.
About my station I have to say that with 100 W has been good time. QRO guys
are sometimes upsetting but, with some lucky and strategy, the work has been
fine. I am sorry to say that my ant is still not working well, and it is
beaming up to NA and UK. The startegy I believe has been good was to remain
on the same QRG and call call call and call. I've worked all the station we
could hear from here, and I'm sure that search-and-spot should have been
difficult because of the strong signals every 1 kHz.
Anyway, good time at all!
Let's see again very soon!
