If you have java installed, this may be an easier way to access the WWYC chat room.
 http://www.gofrc.org/cqdx.shtml
Once you click that, java should launch and wait (a minute or two at most) for a box to open up with nickname and channel.
Put your call in and what room you want to go into.

You can access FRC, WWYC, CQDX, and IOTA channels this way.
