Hello WWYC, 

for the ones who enjoy short and dynamic contests,here are the rules of RCC
CUP coming in few days: 

"BRAND CONTEST" RCC CUP
Contest is held by Russian Contest Club

Contest is held on 5 amateur bands by telephone and telegraph mode at
once.
The participants should refrain from making QSOs with stations in DX-band
segments.
Recommended CQ Contest call: CW - «CQ RCC», «Test RCC»; SSB - «CQ
RCC», «Contest RCC».
Contest Manager - Alexander Smagin RA9AP (RCC # 169).
Modes: CW, SSB.
Bands: 80 m, 40 m, 20 m, 15 m, 10 m

CATEGORIES

For members of Russian Contest Club: 
RCC1. SOAB HP Single operator - all bands, MIXED, the maximum legal output
power. 
RCC2. SOAB LP The same but output power should not exceed 100 watts. 
RCC3. SOAB-CW. Single operator - all bands, only CW. 
RCC4. SOAB-SSB. Single operator - all bands, only Phone.

For other participants:
A1. SOAB HP. Single operator - all bands, MIXED, the maximum legal output
power. 
A2. SOAB LP. The same but output power should not exceed 100 watts. 
B1. SOAB-CW. Single operator - all bands, CW only.
B2. SOAB-SSB. Single operator - all bands, SSB only.
C1. MOST-MIXED. Team of the Club Station - multi operators, single
transmitter, all bands.
C2. MOST-MIXED. Team of the Club Station (youngsters) - multi operators
(age up to 19 years old), single transmitter, all bands.

To determine the winners in each test group (category) the separate credit
will be applied for EU stations and WORLD stations (including AS RF).
Definition of the continents is carried on according to rules of DXCC
Awards.
Note 1: If in one of the test groups (EU and WORLD) there will be less than
6 participants, the division of the continents in this category for the
purposes of awarding will not be implemented.
Note 2: Club stations - members of RCC indicate in report exchange number
their club membership number RCC ---, but there is no separate set-off for
them, they compete in the general category C1. MOST or C2. MOST.

The operation time for all сategories is 6 hours.

For all groups during the contest:
- there is no restrictions in changing from one band to another;
- it is allowed to transmit only one signal at any given time;
- it is allowed to use a single callsign;
- it is prohibited to use any assistance or information from unauthorized
persons in order to make QSO during contest, except the usage of
DX-clusters and skimmers.

NUMBER EXCHANGE

For the members of Russian Contest Club: 
The exchange number consists of RS or RST plus a combination of «RCC» and
membership number as per list of RCC.
Example - 59(9) RCC23. (In the line of contest report combination of RCC
and number are written together without spaces).

For the other participants: 
The exchange number consists of RS or RST and number of ITU zone.
Example: 59(9) 29.

POINTS

Points for QSOs are being counted in the following way:
- between stations in the same ITU zone are worth 1 point. 
- between stations with another ITU zone on the same continent - 3 points.
- between stations with another ITU zone on another continent - 5 points.
- between stations-members of RCC (transmitting membership number)
regardless of zone - 1 point.
It is allowed to spend with the same operator on each band only two QSO's -
telephone and telegraph.

MULTIPLIER

Multipliers for all participants are: 
- various membership numbers of RCC on each band by one mode; 
- various ITU zones on each band by one mode .

Note 3: The current list of the RCC members can be viewed on website:
www.contest.ru/members.htm
The list will be locked on April 30, 2012.

SCORING

The final score is the result of the total QSO points on all bands
multiplied by the sum of multipliers on all bands.
The station which has shown the maximal result in his category becomes the
winner.

Note 4:
In case of equality of the results the preference is given that participant
who has more attitude of the confirmed quantity of QSOs to the declared
quantity.
Note 5: 
In case of any dispute the decision of Contest Committee is final.

JUDGING

The judging is being carried out on the basis of reports received from the
participants.
QSOs are being not counted and excluded from the report in case of:
- if Contest Committee does not receive a Log report from a correspondent;
(NoLog)
- if QSO is not confirmed by the Log report of the correspondent;
(NotInLog)
- if there are miscounts in exchange numbers and callsigns, QSO is removed
from both operators (BadCallsign, Receive error, Partner error);
- if the time of QSO differs for more than 3 minutes (QSO is removed from
both operators).
Exception: Availability of a regular mistake in hours or minutes at one of
correspondents (STE).

AWARDS

The participants who have won the First place in each categories (not less
than 6 participants) will be awarded the Cups.
The participants who have taken second and third places in each categories
(not less than 20 participants) will be awarded Plagues.
Note 6: With sufficient number of participants in CW and SSB categories it
is possible the devision into HP and LP sub-groups (thus to provide
conditions for the awarding: not less than 6 participants in the
sub-group).

LOG REPORTS

The Contest Committee accepts logs by E-mail in CABRILLO format only. 
In the "Subject" of the message please indicate the name of the file (just
call), for example: RA9AP.LOG. or RA9AP.CBR.
Reports differ on the format CABRILLO and only in electronic form (any PDF,
WORD, TXT file) as an extract from the Log showing all data are considered
only as a "check log" (control).
The Contest Committee welcomes an incoming report including 'CheckLog' in
any case even if only one QSO was made in the contest.

Radio amateurs around the world are invited. Contacts are held on the basis
of all with the others.

The head of Cabrillo is filled according the sample.
CATEGORY-OPERATOR: name the contest category at your will.

Optional lines can be removed.

CONTEST SOFTWARE

The clause of the Contest at counting the points is in full accordance with
IARU HF Championship.
Since all known popular contest programs support IARU HF, the participants
are encouraged to "choose" just this contest for making QSOs and generating
the report.
The members of the RCC who were transmitting a combination of «RCC» and
membership number are "similar" to HQ-stations and they will be reflected
as multipliers.
