[WWYC] Mailing list changes and wwyc.net DNS issues

Hello all,

two IT things regarding WWYC's mailing list, website and IRC (DNS).

1) The configuration of the Mailman mailing list software on
   contesting.com (that's where this mailing list is running)
   was recently changed in order to mitigate problems that
   occured after some mail providers (mainly Yahoo!) decided
   to implement rather drastic measures against Spam, which
   basically break the way mailing lists work. For the gory
   details, see http://wiki.list.org/display/DEV/DMARC

   In practice, this means that mails of users whose providers
   have implemented this nonsense, will be rewritten by the
   mailing list software, and the "From:" line will look like
   "From: Fabian Kurz via wwyc <wwyc at contesting.com>", instead
   of the original sender address. The Reply-To header will
   then be set to the original sender's address. In order to
   reply to the mailing list, you'll need to hit Reply-All in
   your email program.

2) DNS for wwyc.net currently does not appear to work, i.e.
   you won't be able to surf to wwyc.net and your chat program
   won't be able to resolve irc.wwyc.net. I suppose it should
   be fixed soon, but in the meantime (at least for IRC),
   you can use irc.deltaxray.org and webirc.deltaxray.org.
