Hello!

First i would like to say it was FUN!

Second it was totaly heard that in the hd2a there is an eu guy who knows
how to work pileups. It was never so easy to work hd2a as far as i
remember, so thx Thomas. I'm sure all your cycling around and being sturdy
as a horse after all that cycling did had you in the top shape.
Nevertheless, you didnt have lots of hamradio because of that and the
hunger for qso took over. It's a splendid score in prospect of all the
antennas and all...i'm sure with 800w more and some improvement on the
station + aclimatization you would've gotten even higher. My hat is off :)

I've played around for 26h @ S51A station since my buddies s51zj and s54kp
were working in the classic LP and HP category. So i took the hours and the
bands that they were not using. It was totaly worth it..

Best things that happened in the tests ?

Calling 2 times 1 guy and getting response from the next one (close) too
and wokring 4 qso's with 2 calls :) It's fun how the timing overlaps :)

Next best was n4ww cqing as hell on 28 Mhz, on the same frq there was
vu4kv.. (heard him cuz my anntenna was pointed east...easiest DX done with
1 call...N4WW never knew what happened.. (didnt hear any of us i think :).

8p5a hears better if i go 36 wpm or more instead of the normal 30...scarry
guy :) but easiest to work from the carribian for me. 4 calls = 4
bands...crazy op.

Tryed to go to sleep saturday nigh local time 21.00 till 23.00 but couldnt.
This then killed me at 6 am local time ( 5. utc) and i was hearing noises
and people chatting around...

After not being able to copy...OMG!!! W1TO who needed to resend his call 3
times i called it quits and went to bed. The decoder was dead :) (in my
head of course).

Happy to hear you all and the condx were great :P I think it was a while
(since 2013 cqww cw ) that i heard the bands in such a shape and no flares
around. Clean, nice and without noise...

since i had time, i took 2 breaks (the stations were manned by the other
ops) and went home to my fiancee to eat some good food.

The intake in the contests resulted in 6 power drinks ( BURN and red bull)
, 1 chocolate and 3 sendwiches.

I'm doing some op quality research and i do this by turning wpm to 36 or
more and work S&P with my personal call...allways fun to hear back ---
..--.. :)

Hear you next time
