The IRC chat is still there, but on a new server after freenode went
down the drain:

Server:  irc.libera.chat
Channel: #wwyc (oviously)

The web chat on https://www.wwyc.net/ still works, but connecting with
a proper client, or using Libera's official web chat may be a better
idea: https://web.libera.chat/
