FT-1000MP transverter operation

Anyone know PRECISELY how to hook up a 6m transverter to the FT-1000MP?  
My manual is incomplete (for example, it doesn't say how one stops the 
transceiver from transmitting thru the primary antenna jack while 
operating a transverter on VHF).

Any tips appreciated.
