[Yaesu] FT1000D Tuning Speed

Probably and old question, but a newer user. I have been using the 1000D for
Almost 2 years and the only question I can think of to ask, is there a after market
Mod for slowing the tuning rate down. I talked to Chip at Dayton and he mentioned that
There was/is one out there.

Comments good and bad regarding the mod (assuming it exists) would be welcome.
