[Yaesu] FT50 & battery drainage

You should have the battery checked.  My wife has the 50 and goes for weeks 
without draining the battery; she doesn't talk much.....

Anyone have experience with the FT50R and drainage
of the NiCD while it is off? I can't leave the battery
connected to mine more than a week or so while it
is off or it will be dead.

Sound familiar?
