[Yaesu] FT-920 Questions

I have a couple of questions about the operation of the FT-920.

1. On RTTY & digital modes, the manual mentions something about
a tuning indicator for the tones. I am running FSK, Data/LSB, adjusted
the settings of U-10 to 'tune' (and others) without getting the
tuning scale for RTTY.  Anybody have that figured out???

2. Antenna tuner question.  On 160, the rig doesn't seem to
memorize the the settings all the time.  I run a top loaded
vertical that is resonate about 1853, which means the swr is
high at 1800 and 1900.  Is this thing not going to memorize the
tuned up settings because the SWR without the tuner is higher
than 3:1 ??  The manual says if you push and hold the tune 
button, the settings will be memorized, they don't seem to be
though.  Anybody else work this out or know the answer?
