How old are the NiCad's on the 50r in question? NiCad packs will go bad
like mentioned after a year or two. Of course there are those who's
battereis last forever, but they take realy good care of them, and rarely
use them. NiCads in general will only last for a limited number of
charge-discharge cycles. This is why the "Renewals" have become popular.
They can be recharged about 25 times, more then most rechargable akalines.
