[Yaesu] FT-1000MP - Gen. Coverage XMIT?

While observing the action of the General (RX coverage only) lamp,
and listening to the rig's internal sounds, I noticed that there seems
to be an audible very soft relay "click" just outside of certian band
edges.
Perhaps it's possible to also transmit in the General Coverage mode?
