Eric,

I don't know, collectively, what feature(s) you are looking for in terms
of an upgrade. It must have been somethings that you like about the
FT-920 when you bought it. Now that you like the other 2 radios better
because of some specific reasons. It will be helpful if you can identify
those things out so people can give you their very subjective opinions.

I don't think I'll upgrade my FT-920 to neither TS-870S nor the Omni6+
just because they cost more and presumably have better receivers without
actually use them for an extented amount of time.

My personnal preference for the next radio will the the FT-1000MP class
rig. It just doesn't make a lot of financial sense (to me) to take a 2 to
4 hundred dallors loss and pay another 1000 dollars to get a radio that is
in the same class. I'd much rather save that difference and pursuit a rig
like FT-1000MP, IC-775DSP. Sorry, I am quite fearful of Kenwood's after
sales services.

If the TS-870S and the Omni6+ really impress you a great deal and the cost
to upgrade is justifyable to your check book, by all means do it! Beauty
is in the eyes of the beholders. It's hard to dislike what you have and
lust after something you might really want.

But watch out if the new and old are too close to call!

Best 73!
